FIBC Antistatic Type-C

FIBC is normally made of non-conductive fabric with interwoven conductive strands

forming a reliable interconnected grid of more than 50 mm mesh size
or with a distance between each other of less than 20 mm if the wires only in one direction

The leading wires have to be connected with less than 108 Ω and must be grounded during filling and emptying process.

Some Type C FIBC are interconnected electrically conductive loops to enable ground through a (grounded) hoisted up systems. When grounded properly, there is no risk of incentives discharge.

The inner or outer surface of FIBC may have a thin coating. In this case, the voltage to the conductive wires do not exceed 6 kV to avoid propagated discharge.

Thus, a Type C FIBC used in an environment with combustible dust and/or explosive gases. There is no risk of these FIBC in hazardous areas, zones 1, 2, 21, 22, provided they are properly grounded.

The FIBC must always be grounded during both filling and emptying

The powder and granular material can cause electrostatic charge which in turn can give rise to ignition and explosion of combustible gases.

C = Leading Accon FIBC. Electrical resistance to earth from the specified point on the body which is less than 108 Ohms.

O = Further additional measures.
